Privacy Policy

NoteBible (“we”) is a spiritual memory app: it keeps the sermons, prayers, studies and moments with God that you choose to record. Privacy is not a footnote for us — your notes are the most personal content there is, and this policy explains in plain language what we collect, why we collect it and what we never do.

1. The one-minute summary

• Your notes are yours. We don’t sell your data, we don’t show ads and we don’t use the content of your notes to train AI models.
• We send a note’s content for AI processing only when you request transcription, organization or use the chat.
• You can use the app without creating an account; the account exists for backup and sync.
• You can delete your account and all your data at any time, inside the app.

2. Data we collect

Content you create

• Notes: texts, transcriptions, titles, reflections and updates you record.
• Audio: voice and sermon recordings you make.
• Images: photos of pages you scan (processed to extract the text).

Account data (optional)

• If you create an account, we collect your email and name through our authentication provider (Clerk), via Apple, Google or email code.
• Without an account, the app works with an anonymous device identifier, with no personal data.

Usage data

• App usage events (for example: screens viewed during first use, features used), linked to the device/account identifier, to improve the product.
• Basic technical information: platform (iOS), app version and language.
• Personalization answers from onboarding (for example, topics of the heart and how you found the app).

Subscription data

• Subscription status (active/inactive) processed by Apple and our subscription partners (RevenueCat and Superwall). We never have access to your card number or financial details.

3. How we use data

• Providing the service: transcribing, organizing and storing your notes; generating your daily devotional; delivering the reminders and notifications you configure.
• Backup and sync: keeping your notes available across your devices when you have an account.
• Improving the product: understanding where the app helps or gets in the way, through aggregated usage events.
• Essential communication: local notifications you enable (daily reminders, remembrances, “note ready” alerts).

4. Artificial intelligence

When you request transcription, organization, image reading or use the chat, the necessary content is sent securely to our AI provider (OpenAI) exclusively to generate the result you asked for. Under the OpenAI API policy, this data is not used to train models. The original text of your note is never replaced — the organized version is always additional.

5. Where data lives and who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your data. We share it only with the processors required for the service to work:

• MongoDB Atlas / Amazon Web Services: database storage and server hosting.
• Clerk: account authentication (Apple, Google, email).
• OpenAI: on-demand AI processing (section 4).
• Apple, RevenueCat and Superwall: subscription processing and management.

All of them operate under their own data protection agreements and policies. We may disclose data if required by law or court order.

6. Security

• All communication between the app and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS).
• Every piece of data is tied to your user — one user can never access another user’s data.
• Notes marked as sensitive can be protected with Face ID/biometrics on your device.
• Service keys live only on our servers, never inside the app.

7. Retention and deletion

• We keep your data for as long as your account exists or the app is installed (for anonymous use).
• You can delete individual notes at any time.
• In Profile → Account → Delete account, all of your data (notes, audio, account and associated events) is erased from our servers.

8. Your rights

Under the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD — Law 13,709/2018) and equivalent regulations, you may request at any time: confirmation of processing, access, correction, portability, anonymization and deletion of your data, as well as withdrawal of consent. 9. Children

NoteBible is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us so it can be removed.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect product or legal changes. The date at the top indicates the current version; relevant changes will be communicated in the app.
